Faced with a scientific, technical, environmental, human, symbolic and geopolitical challenge, there was a need to develop a simple and efficient strategy capable of responding to all objectives. A principle that could integrate safety (against fires in the first place), flexibility and modularity to bring comfort, whether thermal or acoustic, but, first of all, quality of life.
The foundation's plan is based on moving the hazardous units away from the heart of the station. This radiant core implies a central point of life surrounded by heteroclitic units, complicated logistics with a strong environmental impact, due to the use of motorized transport, cables, paths and warehouses. For this reason, the new EACF is designed in a distribution line, the backbone of the station, allowing the sectorization of uses, the hierarchy of needs, the compacting of spaces, creating its own logistics that solves its disposition from a technical and human point of view. This branch, grouping all the programs in one form, expands the visual impact of the base and reduces the environmental impact.
At ground level, seeking the minimum impact to let the melting waters pass and take advantage of the wind to avoid the accumulation of snow, it is proposed to support the Station on stilts. Its elevation thus allows the use of a simple and efficient logistic system for displacement and elevation: the crane. The base structure itself, thus used, frees the soil from any mechanical interference, determining and protecting paths for pedestrians or machines. The materials can be unloaded directly on the beach, once everything is stabilized. The crane uses this distribution line depending on the destination of the material, which can serve the construction of the base itself and then be integrated with it. This spine doubles at its tip to accommodate the "Y" life units. Minimum 3 point distribution figure, featuring the station, simple and quick connection between modules. In addition to adapting to the terrain, it develops into a sunny square in front of the social center, a meeting place, formerly used in invasive machinery logistics.
