The Arbos, a new development crafted by ARCHITECTS OFFICE for DUO Inc., unveils a complex of four towers that blend well-being and unique design, accommodating life in symbiosis with the natural surroundings of Itapema Beach - SC.

Situated amidst the sea, the mountains, the marina, Pirate Island, and the native forest of the region, the area reveals its intrinsic relationship with the coastal landscape by facing the sea and being surrounded by different coastal biomes, becoming the starting point for the design concept: Uniting man and his environment to coexist harmoniously in sublime architecture.

The project begins with the analysis of the triangular terrain with strategic accesses and views and is divided into two phases to encompass the implementation plan on the plot, with two initial interconnected towers to be constructed, and two subsequent towers, also connected.

The four buildings vary in height, volume, and insertion into the terrain, allowing for optimal orientation for lighting, ventilation, and views. They are interconnected by architectural topography at their base and top, which assimilates the signs of the mountainous surroundings and interprets them through design in a contextual dialogue.

At the base, the topographic relief that rises for two floors accommodates leisure spaces, wellness amenities, and the residence's reception, the entrance hall, with views of the pool and its natural extension, the sea.

The landscaping brings species from the native forest of the surroundings to settle on the ground floor and rises through offset flower boxes on the facade to mark the presence and irregularity of nature. Balancing the encounter between mineral and vegetal, built and non-built.

The buildings rise volumetrically robust, with a program of simplex, duplex, and triplex apartments that blend mimetically into the landscape, using natural materials and floor-to-ceiling openings, expanding views and transparency. Each housing unit was created as a garden residence, with large slabs surrounded by vegetated balconies and 360° views.

At the top, vertical structures crown the triplex apartments, conceiving a unique language for the stepped and vegetated rooftops. In an interpretation of tangible and intangible local data and global demands for flexible dwellings integrated with nature that directly influence well-being. Technical solutions traversed the rationality of apartment layouts and construction systems to be optimized in their development and construction.

To craft a unique identity for the development, the design evokes orthogonal elements on the different facades, with dynamically rhythmic grids and slabs. The graphic design is present on all four towers, and on the smallest one, the triangular pattern recalls the shape of the terrain and its tapered edge.

The creation showcases the transformation of a large design mass into a light ensemble, through maximum visual amplitude, use of floor-to-ceiling windows, with emphasis on the horizontality of slabs and irregularity of vegetated facades. Thus enabling the uniqueness of each unit.

Arbos exalts a living experience that accommodates various forms of life in balance with nature, with leisure facilities, convenience, and well-being, in a design that people can truly identify with and connect to.
